How VibeMatch handles data

Privacy Policy

This policy explains the data used by the VibeMatch website, browser extension, and related account services.

1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to VibeMatch at vibematch.io, the VibeMatch browser extension, and the backend services used by the extension. In this policy, "VibeMatch," "we," and "us" refer to the operator of the VibeMatch product.

VibeMatch is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tinder or Match Group. Tinder's own privacy terms apply separately to your Tinder account.

2. Data we process

Website data

This website does not currently use advertising pixels, behavioral analytics, account signup forms, or payment forms. Like most hosted websites, infrastructure providers may process basic request information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, time, and security logs to deliver and protect the site.

Account and contact data

If you use the extension or contact support, we may process an account identifier, email address, email verification state, session records, selected plan or entitlement, settings, support category, subject, message, extension version, and relevant page URL. We do not ask for your Tinder password.

Settings and usage data

VibeMatch processes the filters and limits you configure, measurement preferences, session state, usage and quota records, Like/Dislike decisions, decision reasons, and swipe history so the product can apply your choices, restore your account, and show prior outcomes.

Dating profile data

To evaluate your filters, VibeMatch can process information Tinder makes available in the browser, including profile identifiers, name, age, biography, distance or location signals, activity or verification signals, photos, photo metadata, and other profile fields relevant to an enabled filter. This is information about other people, so use VibeMatch only for your personal dating workflow and do not republish or misuse it.

Photo and AI analysis data

VibeMatch can cache profile photos and store analysis results, model/version information, timing, evidence, and quality or visibility annotations. Some recognition runs locally in the extension. When a selected Pro AI filter requires remote analysis, relevant profile photos and analysis instructions can be sent to VibeMatch's configured AI processing provider. VibeMatch is not an identity-verification service.

Billing data

Stripe checkout is currently disabled, and this website does not collect card details. If paid plans launch, Stripe will process payment details under its own privacy policy. VibeMatch expects to receive billing identifiers, subscription status, billing period dates, and payment or refund status rather than full card numbers.

3. Why we use data

  • Provide, synchronize, and secure VibeMatch accounts and sessions.
  • Apply the filters, limits, and automation choices you configure.
  • Analyze profile information and produce filter evidence or decisions.
  • Maintain history, usage allowances, entitlement, and subscription state.
  • Respond to support, privacy, billing, and security requests.
  • Diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and maintain product reliability.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. Browser access

The current extension is designed to run on Tinder pages and the VibeMatch email callback. Its manifest also permits access to Tinder-hosted media, map resources, VibeMatch services, and hosted model files required by the product. Chrome will show the permissions requested by the published extension before installation.

Extension storage can hold settings and recoverable session coordination in your browser. Backend records are used for account restoration, history, quotas, support, and other server-backed features.

5. Providers and sharing

We may share data only as needed with service providers that perform work for VibeMatch:

  • Hosting, database, security, and delivery infrastructure.
  • Email delivery for sign-in links and support responses.
  • A configured geocoding provider for location search and map-related features.
  • Google AI services for selected remote Pro AI photo analysis.
  • Stripe for checkout, subscription management, and refunds if billing is enabled.

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. Retention

We retain account, settings, usage, profile analysis, and interaction records while reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain history, secure the product, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Support, security, and future transaction records may be retained longer where necessary for those purposes.

Retention can differ by data type and operational backup cycle. You may request account or data deletion by emailing us. We may keep limited records where law, fraud prevention, security, or an unresolved dispute requires it.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect data, including encrypted HTTPS transport and restricted account sessions. No online system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Report a suspected issue to[email protected].

8. Your choices and rights

You can:

  • Change filters and stop Smart Swiping from the extension.
  • Remove the extension through Chrome.
  • Cancel a future paid subscription as described in our cancellation policy.
  • Ask to access, correct, delete, or export applicable personal data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing where local law provides that right.

We may need to verify your email or account before completing a request. Applicable rights vary by location and can have legal exceptions.

9. Adults only

VibeMatch is intended only for adults who are eligible to use Tinder. We do not knowingly offer the product to children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided data to VibeMatch.

10. International processing and policy changes

Providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use available contractual or legal safeguards for those transfers. We may update this policy as the product or law changes and will publish the revised date here. Material changes may also be surfaced through the product.
